A brief approach to landscape Reading - A brief interpretation of rural and urban landscapes – main characteristics, evolution, changings and challenges.
TOPICS: The role of rural landscape in the production of goods and services – nature and resources protection, protection of landscapes and its natural and cultural values, rural landscape as space for cultural and didactic leisure recreation and tourism; the role of vegetation in the landscape; Urban space as a changing environment of our everyday life.
Adalgisa Cruz de Carvalho (Coordinator) – Landscape architect ,Full Professor at the University of Évora, Dept.of Landscape, Environment and Planning, Director of Executive Commission of first cycle programme on Landscape Architecture. Mainstream issues of teaching and research- Landscape Characterization and Evaluation and Landscape Ecology.
Maria da Conceição Castro - Landscape Architect, full professor at the University of Évora, Dep. of Landscape, Environment and Planning. Mainstream issue is teaching subjects related with use of plants in landscape projects. Nowadays, is a researcher in LIFE-RELICT project-improve the conservation status of a priority habitat.
Aurora Carapinha - Landscape architect. Full professor at the University of Évora, Dep. of Landscape, Environment and Planning, coordinator of PhD programme on Arts and Technics of Landscape at the University of Évora. Researcher of Landscape in CHAIA.Mainstream subject of research Portuguese garden and landscape, Theory of Landscape Architecture.
